Things that we've done & things that we've seen, lately.

FYF was hot dude.

REFUSED

there was a fire somewhere and w/ the dust it looked like the apocalypse

errr, we aren't exactly festival goers but we decided to go to FYF to see Refused.
There were some other great bands there too, but refused stole the show. duh. All of the dust being kicked up was the worst and gave blake his asthma-it felt like we were stuck in a sand storm.  Besides the crazy dust, we had a lot of fun just the two of us. We bonded and felt like high schoolers again, it was sweet.

memorial day bbq

we went to HAVASU! we got to get real weird with blake's stepsister and family. I guess that is what you  do in Havasu?

dream table@ city life furniture. its like 2,700 :/

Bachlorette party in Palm Springs over the weekend. Lots of fake wieners everywhere. :/

cooling off.  Her most favorite thing to do, my lil swimmer.

FREAKING YEEWWWWK LESSONS!

My sister and I signed up to start taking Ukuele classes from my friend Carrie. We have no musical background really, so we just kind of jumped in. It' so fun. There are some old salty sailors in the class so carrie said it's rad having us in class now to bring some ''young blood' to the class. :)

Hope cools down soon so we can stop sweating all the time and wear hoodies and drink hot tea.  It's been death hot lately even at the beach. Time to go exercise and run with the dog. cheers!

Mammoth and Bodie

Spending time in the sierras is always great, especially with some of my best buds.  We cruised up to Mammoth a few weekends ago and did some hiking, ghost hunting and some serious pie eating ( at 10,000 feet!).

The weather was rad, warm with afternoon thunderstorms-which made ghost hunting more fun.
It's like my second home and I wish we could go all the time. Hoping for another trip next month to check out all the fall leaves and enjoy the clean air once more before winter.

just hangin with Teemu

I have been a huge fan of the hockey for a while. Specially, The Anaheim Ducks and Teemu Selanne. Not very many people understand, especially in southern California.  Most people are into baseball( gag me) or football (meh). I can't wait until the season starts(if there is no lockout ) so I can get my fix and get to some games.

So I got insanely lucky over the weekend. I got to meet, talk to and hug Teemu Selanne(!!!!). Blake and I went to the Fedorin cup-a charity Hockey game. It felt so good to watch some real hockey, even if it wasn't a real game. We snuck down to where the players were hanging out during the intermission and blake spotted Teemu.  I kinda froze up but knew I had to get a picture and finally get my jersey signed. He was beyond nice, and I completely geeked out. His broken english was too much.
he was so patient, funny and nice.

yep, that's his hand on my shoulder

legit

I think I was still shaking
